Bristol Trip with Kevin 8-22-2009 Track Walk
Day 5 - Track walk....awesome...we got to walk 3/4 of the way around Bristol. It was so cool. I got to take a picture with Jeff Hammond. The banking is so high.... The view from below is unbelievable. Totally worth the walk!!!

Day 4 - Bristol Motorspeedway for the whole day. We walked around all the events trucks and shopped and then FINALLY went inside Bristol MotorSpeedway to see the AWE.....it was so cool and so small yet amazingly the fit a ton of people in there. It is loud but so very cool.... Crossed off my bucket list...hehehehe

Day 3 - Heading from Charlotte to Bristol, Tennessee..... Small side trip to RCR racing (must see), then the LONG drive to Bristol to see the Food City Family Food Festival. It was ok, streets blocked off lines really long for free food (lame) and some apperances from some not very big named drivers. Drove around Bristol and the Speedway and then back to hotel.

Day 2 - Headed to Mooresville and surrounding areas to see Race Shops. Started the day at Lowe's MotorSpeedway in Charlotte. Then onto Hendrick Motorports. AWESOME!!! Roush Racing, Yates Racing(just drove by), Stewart Haas (nice setup, you can tell that it is a new race team, but definitely room to grow), DEI (not happy with this one....Teresa Earnhardt messed it up since I was there last time), Jr Motorports (home of JR NATION), Penske, Then into downtown Mooresville (really cool to hear the stories and actually be able to see some of the stuff), Earnhardt Gnassi racing (dissappointed here too) and then on our way back to the hotel for the evening we passed a BASS PRO SHOPS.... U turn.....

Day 1- Arrived in North Carolina. Went to Whisky River....Dale Jr's bar. It was "Boots and Bikini's Night". We were bummed, Dale Jr was not there to meet us.
Dinner with Monique and Tiffany 8-10-09
My new found friends that I had to go all the way to Europe to meet...hehehe Monique is my new found friend from Utah and that is why we were meeting for dinner. She was in town!!!! It was so good to see her and the wonderful scrapbook that she made of Europe.... yes, I do not like her cuz hers is already done!!!!
Nikki's Accident 8-4-09
Well I got the call that Nikki had been in an accident today. I felt so helpless. I always new that I would get that call since she is older now and not living in the same town...I really thought I had more time to prepare myself for it though. I guess we can mever be prepared enough for the things that life throws at us. Nikki was on the freeway in the fast lane doing about 65mph, she saw a guys in the slow lane kind of pulling into the gravel...she kept going thinking nothing other thatn he was pulling off the road kind of fast...when out of the blue he came 3 lanes over and tagged the back passenger door and back tire...sent her into a few spins and the car almost went airborne. She was extremely shaken up but handled the situation very well. Nikki was with her friend and so her friends parents helped with the on scene stuff. Thanks to them!!! Once we got Nikki calmed down and she got her TACO BELL (that is where she was headed when this happened). We sent a tow truck with the Jetta down to pick up the camry. She was without a car for about a month. She did not like driving the Jetta but at least we had something for her to drive.

Around the LA area today.... Hollywood Blvd...Walk of Fame....Kodak theater...Beverly Hills.... Hollywood sign....Rodeo Blvd... we pretty much saw it all I think.
